The Teen Citizen's Police Academy is a seven-week program designed to provide participants with an insight into police operations. While attending the academy, participants will be introduced to a wide variety of department functions. The academy is developed to encourage youths to learn more about their police department and an overview of the law enforcement profession. The program is not intended to train participants to perform law enforcement duties, but to create a nucleus of citizens who are well informed about the department's operations. Our instructor's goals are to provide accurate material and create better informed citizens. The training is structured to provide classroom instruction, tours, and demonstrations of the various functions of the Bee Cave Police Department. Those students who are interested in a future in law enforcement are highly encouraged to apply.
