The City of Bee Cave is providing an update on the Workforce Housing Developer Request for Proposals.
Bee Cave remains committed to responsible development and workforce housing that makes it possible for teachers, first responders and other essential workers to live and work in Bee Cave.
On July 9, 2024, the Bee Cave City Council unanimously voted to reject all the RFP responses to give city staff time to provide more specifics regarding project design, financing and to update the city's comprehensive plan. This decision does not stop the project or lessen the city’s commitment to providing a solution for workforce housing. Instead, it helps to ensure the development process is as efficient as possible resulting in a smoother way forward for this important project.
